An industrial site is turned into an innovative commercial pole to revitalize a suburban area

The project focuses on the restyling of the 240m-long main facade and common spaces to create a place for engaging shopping experiences as well as moments of sociability. Through this intervention, an underused site becomes a vital place and helps revitalize a suburban area, with a positive impact on the surrounding context.

Description

Our design approach rethinks the main façade through an intentional balance between preservation of industrial legacy and contemporary transformation. The original building structure is preserved, and the roof sheds are rediscovered and reinterpreted to highlight the industrial vocation.

The use of alternate materials and metal finishing emphasizes the dynamic character of the façade, introducing a new and high-quality building skin with natural chromatism that ensures the integration with the surrounding environment.
