Rethinking Security Infrastructure
The proposal for the Cittadella della Sicurezza in Rimini explores a new approach to security infrastructure — moving beyond the traditional model of enclosed and segregated facilities. Instead, the project introduces a civic system where security is not a barrier, but a generator of spatial, environmental and social value.

From Closed Compound to Urban System
Developed on the site of a former barracks, the intervention transforms a closed compound into an open and permeable urban environment. Public space, landscape and infrastructure are integrated into a single framework — reconnecting the site with the surrounding city and enabling new forms of accessibility and interaction.

A Green-Blue Civic Infrastructure
At the core of the project lies a green and blue infrastructure that connects, educates and transforms. Security is embedded within architecture and landscape, shaping a space where protection is present but never imposed. The proposal redefines how public infrastructure can operate in contemporary cities — balancing efficiency, openness and urban continuity.
