re:park

Adaptive reuse and urban regeneration are the key features of Re-Park. Proposing a new model for open-air retail parks, the project gives new life to an industrial building by transforming the site into an innovative 20,000 sqm commercial pole, highly integrated with the urban and social context. The project particularly focuses on the restyling of the 240m-long main facade and common spaces to create a place for engaging shopping experiences as well as moments of sociability. Through this intervention, an underused site becomes a vibrant place and helps revitalize a suburban area, with a positive impact on the surrounding context.

Our design approach rethinks the main façade through an intentional balance between preservation of industrial legacy and contemporary transformation. The original building structure is preserved, and the roof sheds are rediscovered and reinterpreted to highlight the industrial vocation. The use of complementary materials and metal finishing emphasizes the dynamic character of the façade, introducing a new and high-quality building skin with natural chromatism that ensures the integration with the surrounding environment.

Combining architectural quality, sustainable practices, and commercial demands, re:park aims to set a new standard for the future development of open-air shopping centers.
